Oh, thank you, I loved this goodbye letter! I’m here dealing with a multinodular goiter - 14 tumors- and feel like maybe it’s time for a support group…and then here you were! Best of luck with your surgery. Sending lots of healing energy!

I had a cancerous thyroid removed 15+ years ago, and have had zero problems since! Thyroid replacement pills do the job with zero side effects.

I hope I’m coming across as hopeful rather than dismissive here. Surgery is a BIG deal and the thyroid is in charge of so much. But I hope your recovery, etc will be as smooth as mine was 🥰

Jenna, thank you very much for telling me this. I had so much difficulty for so long because of this thyroid that I really am hoping for smooth sailing.

All the best with your surgery, Reta. Your letter was a kick. And actually, isn't there a part of medical processes that have patients speak to, or confront, the 'bad actor?' You have done it! Saludos.

Awww, it made me laugh and cry at the same time.

My love letter for your thyroid:

“I love you, I still do, you brought me joy and peace at times, although the end was not what I expected. I’m sure you meant well, my beloved one, you were such an important part of the team. I appreciated you while you were here. I still do, so don’t be sad I leave you. I have to do it. I’m sure you’ll understand, because you love me too. I will be well and I hope you will be too! Let me kiss you better. Good night and sweet dreams.”

I wish you all the best and may the surgery be blessed! 🙏🫂
